She was born in Antakya in 1985. She received her law degree from Baskent University with full scholarship in 2007, and started law internship at the same year in Ankara Bar. She worked as a law apprentice at Meteksan System Inc. and Arikan&Arikan Law Firm. She worked as an attorney for a while at Murat Law Firm in Ankara particularly in the fields of Business Law, Consumer Law, Real Property Law, Trademark Law and Franchising Agreements.

In 2011, she received LL.M degree in Intellectual Property Law from UNH School of Law formerly known as Franklin Pierce Law Center. During her graduate studies, she was elected as a student attorney and worked in the IP Clinic with twelve other student attorneys who held limited recognition number from the USPTO and authorized to act as a trademark attorney before the USPTO within the pilot program.

After she came back to Turkey, she worked in the field of Intellectual Property Law respectively in Istanbul Patent Consultancy, Ozyegin University, and June Legal as an attorney. Irem continues her business life as a founding partner at NM Law Office since 2018. She is a mother of twins, a member of Istanbul Bar Association, Trademark and Patent Attorney registered in Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. Moreover, she is registered court expert in the field of Intellectual Property Law since 2019.
